LCD Television

A type of television that uses Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology in order to work. LCD televisions tend to produce a clear, flicker-free picture, and are slim with flat screens. Average screen sizes range from 13 to 65 inches (measured on the diagonal).

LCD TVs weigh less than comparably sized plasma TVs, and are somewhat more durable. They do not suffer from burn-in, but can have a retained pixel charge, which may produce ghosting. Dead pixels are also a possibility.
