Screen Resolution

The number of pixels per square inch which are used to make up an image. The higher the screen resolution, the better the picture on the television.

The screen resolution is typically quoted as two figures (e.g. 1366 x 768); the first number refers to the number of pixels displayed horizontally on the screen and the second number refers to the number of pixels displayed vertically.
